South London Rapper, singer and DJ; Shygirl, is performing in Berlin for the first time!
Shygirl will be touring her debut album Nymph (UK Grime, Pop and Industrial-Club Beats) that has blown up! Pitchfork has rated it an 8.0 and called the album “Sensuous, funny, and smartly produced”. If you need some more convincing, Shygirl has collaborated with some of the most visionary artists of our time, from Arca to the late SOPHIE. She has starred in a campaign for fashion label Burberry last year with FKA twigs, and apparently Rihanna loves her stuff!
She’ll be at Astra at tickets are going for 29.33€.
15 & 18 December

The Louis Lewandowski Festival is a choir festival dedicated to the music of Jewish composers who emigrated from Germany. It is named after the German-Jewish composer, you guessed it, Louis Lewandowski, and will showcase performances by the Synagogal Ensemble and other ensembles and choirs from around the world. The concerts will be held at synagogues, churches and other cultural venues in Berlin, and will present compositions from Lewandowski as well as other Jewish composers.
Now – 22 December

The Lucia Christmas Market in the Kulturbrauerei is a Bear Radio favourite as it’s German Christmas – with a twist! The twist being Scandinavian Christmas specialties! You’ll find your favourites like mulled wine and warm drinks, plus traditional Scandinavian crafts and a daily cultural program. There is also a chain carousel, a star ladder and a knight’s castle, meant for kids, but adults can join in!
Open Monday through Friday from 15:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 13:00 to 22:00.
31 December
New Year’s Eve Party at the Brandenburg Gate

Before you accuse us of selling out to the masses, with the most generic NYE send-off, hear us out. While the party will no longer be taking place along the strip from Straße des 17. Juni to the Siegessäule but rather on Pariser Platz in front of Brandenburger Tor, and there won’t be fireworks 🙁 – it’s still looking to feature some of the most incredible artists, including the SCORPIONS! As in the band with the hit of the century “Wind of Change”, that was the anthem to the fall of the Berlin Wall! can you tell we’re excited? Other artists like Alphaville, Calum Scott, Sasha, Kamrad and more will also be performing…but tbh we’re going to be there for the Scorpions. Also! Admission is FREE, you just need to secure a ticket ahead of time – they’ go online TODAY, so get booking.
